For years, I was really good at keeping up.
I had a demanding career that kept me traveling from city to city. When I was home, I somehow found time for house projects, family, friends, coaching CrossFit, and whatever else I could fit in.
My calendar was full, my to-do list was never finished, and there was always something else I thought I should be doing.
Sound familiar?
I was the person who could handle it. And for a long time, I thought that was just who I was.
But that pace was starting to catch up with me.
I was exhausted, but I kept pushing. I was impatient and always in a hurry trying to squeeze in one more thing. Even when I finally stopped, my brain didn't.
What I didn't understand then was how much stress was playing a part in how I felt.
The exhaustion. The impatience. The inability to switch off.
That realization eventually led me to breathwork.
I began learning how changing the way I breathed could help change my response to stress.
Today, I'm an ICF-certified coach and SOMA Breath® Instructor, and I help busy women learn how to use their breath to respond differently to stress.
